Meet the Santa Clarita Team Behind Vance Gate Repair Santa Clarita
When you call Vance Gate Repair Santa Clarita, the person who shows up isn’t a subcontractor we’ve never met. It’s one of our own technicians, background-checked, uniformed, and dispatched with a name and photo sent to you before arrival. Adrian Vance built this crew the same way he built his commercial access-control business starting in 2014: hire people who document what they find, explain what they’re doing, and stand behind the work for a full year. That’s the standard here, and it’s not negotiable.
Our People
Marcus T. – Lead Technician, Gate Motors & Automation
Marcus has been repairing gate motors in Santa Clarita for over a decade, and he’s the first person Adrian calls when a diagnosis doesn’t add up. He holds certifications across four of the nine automation brands we service, including LiftMaster and DoorKing, and he’s the one who trained most of our technicians on limit-switch calibration. Marcus keeps a notebook in the truck with torque specs and common fault codes for every opener he’s ever touched, which is exactly the kind of habit you want when your gate won’t close at 9 p.m. He grew up in Canyon Country and still gets annoyed when people call the 14 “the freeway.”
Elena R. – Senior Installer, Gates & Welding
Elena came to us from commercial fabrication, where she spent six years welding steel and aluminum before moving into residential gate installation. She handles the heavy structural work: steel driveway gates, custom hinge replacements, and weld repairs that most companies won’t touch without quoting a full replacement. Elena is certified in MIG and TIG welding, and she’s the one who insists on photographing every weld before, during, and after the job. Outside work, she restores old motorcycles and has strong opinions about the right way to grind a bead.
Dana K. – Service Coordinator
Dana is the calm voice on the phone when your gate stops working and you need someone at 2 a.m. She’s been with us since 2017 and knows every job we’ve run in Santa Clarita, which means she can usually tell you whether your problem sounds like a photo-eye alignment issue or a dead capacitor before a technician even arrives. Dana coordinates dispatch, walks customers through what to expect on the visit, and makes sure every job file gets its photo log attached before the technician leaves the property. She’s also the reason our trucks leave the yard with the right parts the first time.
Tommy V. – Apprentice Technician
Tommy joined us two years ago straight out of a welding program at College of the Canyons, and he’s been shadowing Marcus on motor diagnostics and Elena on structural work ever since. He runs the photo-eye tests, documents voltage readings, and handles the documentation packet that goes to every customer before the technician rolls out. Tommy grew up in Newhall, and his dad was a locksmith, so he understands the difference between a quick fix and a fix that lasts. He’s on track to run his own truck by next year.
One Standard, Every Job

Every technician on this team works under the same set of rules, and those rules don’t change depending on which truck shows up. The written price comes before any work begins, on paper, with the scope spelled out. The photo record goes to the homeowner before we leave, showing what was found, what was adjusted, and what part went in. And the 365-Day Done Right Promise means if a repair isn’t holding up, we come back and make it right at no charge, no argument, no expiration within that window. Adrian Vance set that standard in 2014 doing commercial access-control work, and it’s the reason our Santa Clarita customers keep calling the same team back. A live person answers the phone 24/7, which matters when your gate is stuck open and you need an answer, not a voicemail.
